The Specola M. Hack can be visited on the dates and times indicated below. Reservation required.
The dates of the visits are published month by month, based on the availability of the researchers.
Groups and schools can request a visit to the Specola M. Hack on additional dates, information here.
The activity is suggested for adult people and children minimum 10 years old.
The Specola M. Hack is located at the Basovizza observing station of INAF-Osservatorio Astronomico di Trieste (Località Basovizza 302, 34149 Basovizza - TS)
Summer solstice at the Astronomical Observatory: visit to the historical-educational multimedia exhibition and observation of the Sun (sunspots and prominences) through the telescope.
Free event, reservations required.
Park in the parking area outside the observatory (gravel lot with parking signs). From there, the observatory can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.
Guided tour of the new historical - informative multimedia exhibition and, after, observation of the most interesting celestial objects (Moon, stars, planets, nebulae, etc.) through the eyepiece of a modern telescope.
Full ticket € 10, reduced € 5 (from 12 to 17 years of age), free admission for children up to 11 years. Payment will be made at the entrance to the Specola, please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the visit.
The visit takes place with cloudy skies or rain also.

Pinkakustik, a Pink Floyd tribute band, present their show "Pink Floyd doculive": the reproduction of Pink Floyd's historic songs and the narration of the stories related to the albums from which they are extracted, all supported by videos and visual effects that are played during the performances.
Followed by a visit to the Specola M. Hack with telescope observations.
