Sergio Cristallo - Cauldrons in the cosmos
Cauldrons in the cosmos
by Sergio Cristallo (INAF - OA Abruzzo)
Abstract: Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars are marvelous objects, characterized by a very rich nucleosynthesis. As a matter of fact, half of the elements heavier than iron in the Universe are produced by these objects. I will present results of recent AGB models including the effects of magnetic fields, with interesting consequences on the interpretation of spectroscopic observations and the pollution of the Early Solar System.
