Rosetta plunging into the protoplanetary disk
by Marco Fulle (INAF - Trieste)
Abstract: ESA Rosetta mission to comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko had two main goals: to understand which engine drives the activity of comets, and which processes drove the formation of planetesimals in the protoplanetary disk. In this seminar I will show how each process driving cometary activity is directly linked to the chemistry and evolution of the protoplanetary disk, and to the formation and structure of all planetesimals.
